MegaGen Subsidiary BIOLASE Plans to Expand Manufacturing Facilities, Strengthening Dental Laser Production Capacity

DentalGoodNews｜June 25, 2026 - MegaGen subsidiary BIOLASE announced an investment of nearly $1 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Corona, California, aiming to enhance global production capacity and quality assurance for dental laser products. This infrastructure upgrade includes the construction of new cleanrooms, optimization of laser rooms and fiber processing areas, as well as expansion of product warehouses and employee common spaces, designed to provide more stable supply chain support for the Waterlase and Epic laser series.

According to previous reports from DENTALGOODNEWS (Leading Dental Industry Media, DGN), MegaGen received approval in November 2024 to acquire BIOLASE's assets and plans to revitalize its market position through technological innovation. This investment further strengthens the Corona facility's role as a center for scientific innovation and advanced manufacturing.

On the commercial operations front, effective July 1, 2026, BIOLASE's sales, customer support, and training operations in the United States will be transferred to MegaGen America. BIOLASE stated that by integrating its U.S. organization, it aims to improve responsiveness to local demands while maintaining existing product quality and customer experience standards.

BIOLASE Chief Operating Officer Jung Hwan Lim stated that this project strengthens the company's ability to support clinicians, ensuring that Waterlase and Epic laser technologies deliver the expected quality and continuity. BIOLASE Director of Strategic Planning Brian Park noted that the renovation aims to create the necessary infrastructure, educational pathways, and market support to make dental laser technology more accessible for dentists.
