Dental AI Company Pearl Partners with Education Platform RipeGlobal to Address Skill Gap Among Dental Graduates

DentalGoodNews｜On April 2, 2026, global dental artificial intelligence (AI) provider Pearl and cloud-based education platform RipeGlobal announced a partnership aimed at helping dental professionals master and apply AI technology in clinical and operational settings.

According to company disclosures, dental school graduates are proficient in only about 6% of general dentistry procedures upon graduation. This skills gap not only affects the quality of care but also leads to productivity losses in the industry.

Through this collaboration, the two parties will combine Pearl's diagnostic AI technology with RipeGlobal's educational system to provide clinical staff with the knowledge and skills required to apply AI technology. Additionally, relevant FDA-certified diagnostic AI will be integrated with the partner's Dental Service Organization (DSO) core platform, DAPPr, to help institutions more effectively empower doctors through AI and achieve standardized care across chain clinics.

Pearl founder Ophir Tanz stated that AI is transforming diagnosis, case communication, and operational processes in the dental field, and this collaboration aims to help practitioners master and apply the relevant technology in practice. Education platform founder Lincoln Harris noted that by integrating Pearl's technology, the platform will support dentists in understanding and applying AI technology in their daily work.

According to previous reports by DGN, Pearl has made progress in dental imaging analysis, with its system having received both FDA 2D and 3D certifications. Additionally, the company secured a Strategic Investment from the American Dental Association (ADA) at the end of 2024.

As of the time of writing, neither party has disclosed further implementation timelines or specific rollout plans.
