DentalGoodNews | On March 21, 2026, the award ceremony for the inaugural 2025 "SDIC Futen Cup" Yangtze River Delta Clinical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held during the second Shanghai Clinical Translation Ecosystem Forum themed "Clinical Translation, Financial Empowerment". The project "Research, Development and Application of Personalized Dental Implant Medical Products", jointly submitted by Gaofeng Medical Equipment (Wuxi)Co.,Ltd and the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, won the Gold Award in the Medical Device category at this innovation and entrepreneurship competition.

This project focuses on integrating clinical personalized needs with industrial precision manufacturing capabilities based on individual patient anatomical differences. This award signifies that this collaborative hospital-enterprise R&D pathway has gained recognition from the Shanghai clinical translation system, and the translation process for related products is expected to accelerate.

It is reported that this competition was guided by the Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center and Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment Co., Ltd., and jointly organized by the Shanghai Clinical Innovation and Translation Institute (SCITI), Shanghai Futen Private Equity Fund Management Co., Ltd., and Bank of Shanghai Co., Ltd. It attracted participation from over 20 municipal and district-level hospitals in Shanghai, with 51 projects winning awards (20 Gold Awards, 31 Silver Awards), covering fields such as medical devices, digital healthcare, biomedicine, and AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment. Dental projects accounted for two of the Gold Awards.

Held concurrently with the award ceremony was the signing ceremony for the second batch of SCITI intellectual property corporate operation cooperative hospitals. The project "Research, Development and Application of Personalized Dental Implant Medical Products" submitted by Denfac was also included in the list of signing projects for the second batch of SCITI's "Intellectual Property Corporate Operation" initiative.

As a translation model pioneered by SCITI, the "Hospital Patent License + SCITI Cash Equity Investment" intellectual property corporate operation model has, since the implementation of its first project in 2025, cumulatively promoted 8 projects to complete company registration or initiate the registration process, with a total planned investment amount of approximately 90 million RMB. The signing of this second batch of projects marks the transition of this model from "single-point piloting" to a replicable and scalable stage.
