DentalGoodNews|On November 4, 2026, U.S. dental laboratory operator Standard Dental Labs Inc. (hereinafter referred to as SDL) announced the acquisition of all assets of Florida-based dental laboratory M&D Dental Arts, LLC, and expects to roll out the Bridge digital workflow platform company-wide by December 1, 2026. The acquired assets include M&D's customer base and Accounts Receivable, and the related business will be transferred to SDL's existing laboratory in Orlando. The announcement did not disclose the transaction amount. M&D is located in Deltona, Florida. SDL expects that, following the integration of M&D's business, the existing output of the Orlando laboratory will double. The company stated that the facility recently completed facility upgrades, bringing its production capacity to nearly four times what it was before the upgrade; after taking on M&D's business, it is expected that substantial surplus capacity will remain. SDL also disclosed progress on its self-developed Bridge platform. The platform is currently in real-business testing and is positioned as an artificial intelligence-driven customer relationship management and digital workflow platform. The company stated that the platform connects to relevant Digital dentistry platforms through the respective application programming interfaces (APIs) of iTero and DS Core, aggregating case materials submitted through different platforms into a unified interface, and combining accessible patient and customer historical information to provide technicians with the information needed for case processing. According to company disclosures, the next phase of development for the platform is a three-dimensional Computer-aided design (CAD) module for Dental Laboratory technicians. SDL expects this module to be completed within three months. Under the company's design plan, the module is intended to use artificial intelligence to generate restoration designs from scratch, supervised by experienced technicians, and to continuously improve based on technician feedback and completed cases. SDL stated that the module's development goal is to reduce reliance on costly design libraries and shorten design and restoration delivery times.
