China’s first Group Standard for technical requirements of dental intelligent agents officially releasedIssuing time:2026-10-16 13:27
DentalGoodNews|Recently, the Group Standard "Intelligent Agent for the Healthcare Industry - Technical Requirements for Dental Intelligent Agents" (T/ISC 0129-2026), for which Professor Xu Jianguang, Vice President of the School of Stomatology (Affiliated Stomatological Hospital) of Anhui Medical University, served as the first drafter, has been officially released. The standard was led by the School of Stomatology of Anhui Medical University and jointly drafted by 20 institutions, including the School of Stomatology of Peking University, the West China School of Stomatology of Sichuan University, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and iFlytek Healthcare Technology Co., Ltd. This is the first Group Standard for dental intelligent agents in China, covering functional requirements for dental intelligent agents in image recognition, assisted decision-making, consultation interaction, and document generation, as well as performance evaluation and security control requirements. In addition, in response to the complex acoustic environment of dental clinics and the significant differences among various specialty diagnoses and treatments, Professor Xu Jianguang's team has also developed a large language model (LLM) system that can automatically convert real chairside dental conversations into standardized Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The related research has been published in the international dental journal "Journal of Dental Research" (JDR). The system adopts a modular design, integrating multi-level audio enhancement, local automatic speech recognition (ASR), and modules such as "multi-source evidence capture" and "multi-version collaborative consensus." According to the hospital, evaluations show that the system has clinical usability and robustness in medical record generation across multiple specialties, including Orthodontics, prosthodontics, and periodontics, and can provide a technical pathway to alleviate the time-consuming problem of clinical document entry. Speaking about the two achievements, Professor Xu Jianguang said that the publication of the JDR paper means the team has gained international journal recognition in cutting-edge dental AI technology research, while the release of the Group Standard means it has begun to have a voice in industry standard formulation; one is a "from 0 to 1" breakthrough, and the other is a "from 1 to N" standardization, and the two complement each other. He also said that the school (hospital) will, in the future, base itself on clinical practice, deepen cross-regional and international academic cooperation, and promote the translation and implementation of more intelligent achievements.
