DentalGoodNews|June 30, 2026 - Digital implantology company DIO Corporation (039840.KQ) and LG CNS, a major South Korean IT service provider, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Seoul. The two parties will jointly build an oral medical service platform based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing technology. According to official disclosures, this collaboration aims to integrate LG CNS's AI System Integration (SI) capabilities with Dio's digital dental technology, with a focus on advancing AI-automated implant surgery design and the construction of a cloud-based integrated platform. The platform plans to achieve full digital connectivity across the entire process, from patient consultation, diagnosis, and treatment planning to restoration fabrication, shortening surgery design time and improving treatment predictability through AI technology. The two parties will also collaborate to build a web-based cloud platform to enhance real-time information sharing and collaboration efficiency among medical teams. To support global business expansion, the platform will adopt data encryption and real-time monitoring systems to ensure the security and stability of digital dental services across different countries and regions.
Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Busan, South Korea, DIO Corporation exports its products to over 70 countries worldwide. Core products include photo-activated dental implants, digital navigation systems, and edentulous arch solutions. The company stated that its Ziyang base currently has an annual capacity of 750,000 units, expandable to 3 million units in the long term. The UFII dental implant is scheduled for batch production starting August 2026, and the "Oral AI Lab" was inaugurated simultaneously to advance integrated industry-academia-research operations. As a service provider in the digital transformation field, LG CNS is actively promoting the application of its AI Transformation (AX) platform in the medical vertical. The company stated that this collaboration will help it accumulate AI integration cases in the dental field while optimizing digital dental business processes using cloud technology.
