Align Technology China Appoints New Leadership, Han Junhao Promoted to EVP of Asia Pacific

DentalGoodNews｜Recently, Align Technology (NASDAQ: ALGN) completed a leadership transition in China: JunHo Han, former Vice President and Managing Director of Greater China, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific, while Laura Tsai has taken over as Vice President and Managing Director of Greater China.

Founded in 1997, Align Technology specializes in clear aligner systems (Invisalign) and iTero intraoral scanners. According to previous reports by DENTALGOODNEWS (Leading Dental Industry Media, DGN), Align Technology's global revenue for the full year 2025 reached $4.035 billion, a year-over-year increase of 0.9%. In Q4 2025, clear aligner shipments in the Asia Pacific region achieved double-digit growth year-over-year, with China being the primary driving market.

According to public information, JunHo Han joined Align Technology in 2019, bringing over 25 years of international medical device management experience, previously serving at companies such as Edwards Lifesciences and Johnson & Johnson. In January 2023, Han assumed the role of Vice President and Managing Director of Greater China; following this promotion, his responsibilities have expanded to cover the entire Asia Pacific region.

Laura Tsai joined Align Technology in June 2017, holding various sales and commercial operations management roles. She previously served as Sales Director for Align Technology in Taiwan, China, and transitioned to General Manager of iTero China in early 2024. Since November 2024, her responsibilities have further expanded to oversee both Invisalign and iTero core businesses. After assuming her new role, Tsai represented Align Technology in signing a public welfare cooperation agreement with the China Oral Health Foundation.

According to previous reports by DGN, the European Commission initiated the first antitrust investigation in the medical device industry against Align Technology on June 30, 2026, focusing on the bundling arrangements of iTero intraoral scanners and Invisalign clear aligners.
