DentalGoodNews｜From May 22 to 23, Shanghai Stomatological Hospital (Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Fudan University) and the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong held the "Shanghai-Hong Kong Oral Summit: 2026 Future Oral Biomaterials Frontier Forum" in Shanghai. During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed, and the "Oral Innovative Materials Expert Committee" was officially established.

Shanghai Stomatological Hospital stated that the forum focused on exchanges around four core directions: "Material Design, Biological Response, Functional Integration, and Clinical Translation." In the cross-border roundtable dialogue session, discussions were held on topics such as the construction pathway, organizational structure, and operational mechanism of the future International Oral Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine Alliance.

Furthermore, Shanghai Stomatological Hospital noted that the Oral Innovative Materials Expert Committee is established under the Oral Medicine Sub-center of the National Key Laboratory of Polymer Molecular Engineering. Its aim is to promote deep cross-integration of medicine and materials science, driving original innovation and translational applications in the field of oral biomaterials. Experts from over ten institutions, including Peking University School of Stomatology, West China Hospital of Stomatology Sichuan University, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University, and Wuhan University School of Stomatology, were appointed as the first committee members.

It is reported that the "Shanghai-Hong Kong Oral Summit" forum was jointly initiated by the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong and Shanghai Stomatological Hospital, and this year marks its fourth edition.
