Pearl Launches AI Assistant for Dental Records, Expected to Save 60 Minutes of Documentation Time DailyIssuing time:2026-04-10 12:41
DentalGoodNews|April 9, 2026, Pearl, a global dental artificial intelligence (AI) solutions company, announced the launch of its clinical charting AI assistant designed for dental practices — Pearl Voice. This product can capture and transcribe doctor-patient conversations in real-time and automatically generate them into structured clinical notes, aiming to reduce the administrative burden on dental staff. According to Pearl, in dental clinical practice, charting and documentation often consume a significant amount of time. Pearl Voice utilizes "ambient listening" technology to passively capture the natural conversation between the doctor and patient during treatment and automatically generate industry-standard documentation such as SOAP notes and periodontal charts. Pearl claims this automated approach allows dentists to focus entirely on patient care without frequently switching screens for manual data entry between procedures. Ophir Tanz, founder and CEO of Pearl, stated that the launch of Pearl Voice marks a further expansion of the company's AI platform capabilities. According to previous reports by DGN, Pearl is the first company to receive FDA 510(k) clearance in both 2D and 3D dental image analysis. The release of Pearl Voice signifies the formal extension of its AI infrastructure from diagnostic assistance to full clinical workflow automation.
In terms of features, as disclosed, Pearl Voice supports voice-driven periodontal charting, allowing doctors to record periodontal measurement data in real-time through verbal commands without the need for assistant transcription. Furthermore, the system comes pre-loaded with over 30 templates tailored for specific clinical scenarios such as examinations, fillings, crown restorations, and endodontic treatment, and supports seamless integration with mainstream practice management systems (PMS), ensuring the compliance and consistency of clinical records. Feedback from a clinician showcased by Pearl indicates that after implementing Pearl Voice, an average of at least 60 minutes of documentation time is saved daily, and the standardization of clinical notes is significantly improved. This not only enhances the doctor-patient communication experience and case handover processes but also provides more detailed clinical evidence support for practices dealing with audits or medical disputes.
