DentalGoodNews|According to the "U.S. Healthcare Labor Market Update" report recently released by Hiring Lab, the research arm of the global hiring platform Indeed, dental job postings in the United States have declined by 11.6% over the past year. Despite the decline, dental job postings remain 36.3% higher than the pre-pandemic baseline of February 1, 2020. Dentistry is one of several healthcare categories that saw a decrease in job postings over the past year, with only pharmacy-related postings showing growth during the same period. Regarding compensation, the report, which covers trends in the fourth quarter of 2025, notes that over the six months ending December 2025, wage growth declined across all tracked healthcare categories except dentistry, where wage growth remained stable during this period. An earlier "U.S. Healthcare Labor Market Update" from the same institution indicated that signs of slowing demand growth had already emerged: as of January 17, 2025, dental job postings had declined by 2.1% year-over-year, a relatively moderate drop. In terms of compensation, as of January 17, 2025, the dental industry saw the highest annual wage growth at 4.3%, though its growth rate had decreased by 0.3 percentage points over the preceding six months. Comparing the two reports, the year-over-year decline in dental job postings widened from 2.1% (as of January 17, 2025) to 11.6%, representing a more than fivefold increase in the decline over approximately one year.
